News for the Week of February 11th, 2013

The Principled Academy

  Weekly News
February 11, 2013
Message from the co-founder of
The Principled Academy:
Why we are proud of our school:
“The core mission of the school is character education and academic excellence.  Students develop good habits such as respect, responsibility, empathy, fairness and compassion. Through methods of social and emotional learning, students learn awareness of their emotions and, through self-control, how to express emotions in a socially responsible manner.  The culture of the school is one of love and care, especially modeled by the teachers and staff.  Parents are honored as the child’s first teachers and as invaluable partners in the educational process.  Service activities in the community are a central part of student education.  Moral excellence, then, is the foundation of academic excellence.  The Principled Academy offers a content-rich curriculum to complement the focus on character education.”
Dr. Mose Durst
