School Year 2013-14
As you know, The Principled Academy is a school with high academic standards, personalized attention, character education, a small community where students, teachers and staff get to know each other, and many opportunities to do community service and take field trips!
Please contact us if you if you have any questions regarding re-enrollment for the 2013-14 school year. Next year, we have great things planned and you won’t want to miss it!
Limited spaces in all classes, so please enroll your child in this month.
Until May 1st, priority enrollment is for our current students.
After Wednesday, May 1st, there will be open enrollment.
We are practicing the 4 R’s:
Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, and Rot!
Americorps Member Jessica Jetter and her friend Tom, from Alameda County, came last Friday morning to meet and educate all the students. Please help us reduce trash by using reusable containers for snack and lunch.
The 7th and 8th grade class had a wonderful, day-long community-building workshop with the founder of GIA Wellness, Ms. Linda Cormier, on Friday. GIA Wellness is a business dedicated to helping people reach their full potential through good health products. As part of their mission to give back, Ms. Cormier conducts free workshops to help teens appreciate their own character strengths, one another, and their parents more. The highlight of the day was for each teen to use focus, a strong stance, and only the palm of one hand to break a board on which he or she had written limitations he or she would like to overcome. Every one of our students succeeded! The organizers from GIA Wellness remarked that our 7th and 8th graders were the most respectful and supportive group of teens they had ever worked with!
YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN!! Please remember when bringing your child to and from school, enter through the north gate closest to the main building and exit through the south gate at the end of the yard.
ALSO: Please make sure you close the preschool gates when exiting the preschool yard!
THANK YOU for your cooperation with these procedures.
Your children’s safety is our utmost concern.
PLEASE LABEL your child’s sweaters or exterior wear items as we will make sure it gets back to you. All unlabeled clothing will be given away starting next week. Save money! LABEL your child’s clothes!
Please check the Lost and Found for school sweaters! If your child needs a school sweater, we have some used ones in the office. If your child needs to wear a hat outside on sunny days, it must be school colors.
